30 minutes · No deck required

Talk through the event and what you need to do next.

Not a software demo.

Bring the event, the sponsor, funder, venue, or partner question, and whatever context you have. We will tell you what kind of report would help, what it would cost, and whether Octus is the right fit right now. If it is not, we will say so.

Snapshot received · Pre-read attached

We have your snapshot in hand.

Your Event Snapshot is logged. We will open the call with it and spend the 30 minutes on the parts you want to go deeper on.

"I have worked event floors and seen sponsor reports that should have been sharper. I take these calls myself because the next ask matters. I would rather give you a clear answer than sell you the wrong scope."

  • 01

Scopes the proof personally. You are not being passed to a generic sales rep before the work is understood.

  • 02

Signs the reports. Every Octus proof pack leaves with a named advisor on it.

  • 03

Will say "not yet." If the timing, scale, evidence, or fit is not there, we will tell you directly.

Built from event floors. The method comes from real rooms, not just dashboards and recap decks.

The 30 minutes

What the call actually covers.

No deck. No discovery-call theater. We talk through the event, who needs to take it seriously, what a useful report would include, and the cost. You leave with a scoped next step or a clear "not yet."

00:00–00:05

The event, in your words.

Five minutes of context: what you run, for whom, in what moment. No slide. Just what a peer would tell a peer.

00:05–00:15

The conversation behind the work.

What do you need the event to help you get next? Sponsor renewal, a higher package price, a funder report, a venue decision, or a board update. We shape the call around the conversation, not the data.

00:15–00:25

What the report would need.

Which service fits, what we would read, what we would capture, and a rough picture of the report you would hold at the end.

00:25–00:30

Cost, timing, and next step.

Straight on pricing and lead time. You leave with a scoped proposal, a "let's talk in three months," or an honest "we're not the right fit."

Before the call

Questions we hear right before booking.

No. It is a scoping conversation. No deck, no script, no pass-off to a specialist. Simon takes these himself and ends each one with a scoped proposal, a clear "let's talk later," or an honest "we're not a fit." If we cannot help, we will say so, and often point you somewhere that can.
No. If you have used the Event Snapshot, we will have that context in hand. If not, just come with the event in mind. A working date, a rough scale, and the thing you need help with next is plenty. We will ask the rest.
Within 48 hours you get a short written follow-up: which service fits, what the scope would look like, what it would cost, and the lead time. No auto-generated CRM emails, no drip sequence.
Yes. Bring whoever needs to be part of the decision. If you would rather have a longer working session with multiple decision-makers, email us and we will set a 60-minute one instead.
No. You hire a service. Our advisors do the work and sign the proof. Internal tools help us assemble, label, and structure the work, but you never log into a tool or maintain a dashboard.
